Step 1 - Save all open documents on your Surface if any are open. Shut down your Surface and remove it from the dock
Step 2 - Locate the Surface Dock on your desk and find the power cable. Remove the power cable from the dock for 15 seconds and then reconnect the power cord.
Step 3 - Reconnect the Surface to Dock and power back on. Log into Windows and see how things go. If things are still not right, go to the article on updating the Surface Dock firmware.
